  • Effect of Dual Task on Walking Ability in Posterior Circulation Ischemic Stroke Patients with Vestibular Symptoms

    Abstract: Background Posterior circulation ischemic stroke patients with vestibular symptoms usually do not present with obvious limb paralysis with certain walking ability after improvement of dizziness and vertigo symptoms,however,their fall risk is high and clinical attention to walking ability is lacking. Functional assessment using dual-task paradigms can better detect potential gait abnormalities in patients and provide a basis for early rehabilitation intervention. Objective To investigate the effect of dual task on walking ability of posterior circulation ischemic stroke patients with vestibular symptoms. MethodsPatients diagnosed with posterior circulation ischemic stroke accompanied by vestibular symptoms and treated at Tianjin Huanhu Hospital from January 2021 to December 2022 were selected as the study subjects. Gait parameters including gait speed,step frequency,step size,proportion of double support phase time,step duration,trunk coronal plane and sagittal plane swing angles were collected using single-task walking,motor-motor dual-task walking,and cognitive-motor dual-task walking paradigms. The differences in gait parameters among the three task conditions and the differences in dual-task costs between the two dual-task walking. Results Compared to single-task walking,the trunk coronal plane and sagittal plane swing angles weredecreased in patients during motor-motor dual-task walking(P<0.05);the gait speed and step size were increased,proportion of double support phase time and trunk coronal plane swing angle were increased in patients during cognitive-motor dual-task walking(P<0.05). Compared to motor-motor dual-task walking,the dual-task costs of cognitive-motor dual-task walking in terms of gait speed and the proportion of double support phase time were increased(P<0.05). Conclusion Dual task leads to decreased gait stability in posterior circulation ischemic stroke patients with vestibular symptoms. Additionally,cognitive-motor dual-task walking requires more attentional resources and is more likely to result in gait disturbances compared to motor-motor dual-task walking.

  • 八棱海棠种子超低温保存中含水量对糖代谢的影响

    Abstract: Water content is a key factor influencing the seed cryopreservation, but its effecting mechanism is not fully understood. In order to provide theoretical basis for further improving the seeds viability after cryopreservation, the effect and way of water content on the viability of seed cryopreservation were explored. Malus � robusta seeds with different water contents were obtained by silica gel. The seed viability, sugar content and related enzyme indexes before and after cryopreservation were measured and correlation analysis were done. The results were as follows: (1) After 15 days of cryopreservation, the viability of seeds with different water contents was different, and the viability of seeds showed a trend of increasing and then decreasing as the water content of seeds decreased, and the seeds with 9.02% water content had the highest germination rate, at 53.33%. But after 120 days of cryopreservation, the viability of seeds increased as the water content decreased, and the seeds with 6.40%water content got the highest germination rate, at 27.78%. This indicates that the water content of Malus � robusta seeds has a significant effect on the viability after cryopreservation. It is affected by the storage time in liquid nitrogen, and the optimum water content decreases as the storage time extended in liquid nitrogen. (2) Correlation analysis showed that water content was significantly negatively correlated with viability, both water content and viability were correlated with sucrose and fructose content, acid invertase was correlated with water content, viability, sucrose and fructose, and fructokinase was correlated with viability, suggesting that water content affects the content of sucrose and fructose through effecting the activity of acid converting enzymes, which in turn affects sucrose metabolism to respond to low temperature and dehydration stress, ultimately leading to differences in viability. The seed viability is also affected by fructose metabolism through fructose kinase. Besides, alginate is one of the important regulatory substances of Malus � robusta seeds in response to water and low temperature stresses. In summary, water content has a significant effect on the viability of Malus � robusta seeds cryopreservation through the combined effect of sucrose and fructose metabolism. This study provides a theoretical reference to further explore the cryopreservation mechanism of seed.

  • Research on the Influence of Information Representation on Privacy Policy of M-Health APP:Based on Cognitive Load Theory

    Abstract: [Purpose/significance] Privacy protection in mobile health environment is an important issue that needs to be solved urgently. Research on the reading effect of privacy policies of mobile health apps can stimulate users’ willingness to read the privacy policies and improve users’ awareness of privacy protection, which is conducive to the long-term development and application of the mobile health apps. [Method/process]z This paper attempts to measure the subjective cognitive load and objective performance of different types of users when reading different forms of privacy policies from the perspective of user-friendly reading and understanding, based on the cognitive load theory, through virtual experiments and multi factor analysis of variance, and to study the influence of information representation on the reading effect of privacy policies of mobile medical app. [Result/conclusion] The results showed that compared with the textual privacy policy, the graphical privacy policy is more readable and comprehensible, which can effectively reduce the cognitive load of visual users, and can significantly improve users’ reading achievement.

    Abstract: Construal Level Theory considered that self-control was broadly conceptualized as making decisions and acting in accordance with global, high-level construal of the situation rather than local, low-level construal. Researches concerning temporal discount, persistence, healthy behaviors and prospective self-control showed that high construal level promotes self-control. Moreover, the effect of high-level construal on self-control was mediated by attitudes toward temptations and asymmetric temptation-goal. The effect is modulated by the characteristics of task and goal (e.g. goal value and difficulty, valence, response style, manifestation of goals) and presence of high level construal cue (explicit or implicit). In summary, the present approach, which considers self-control as a construal-dependent decision, extended self-control Dual-Model and Ego-Depletion Model and provided some more possible psychological mechanisms. Therefore, further research should focus on mechanisms of the positive construal level and self-control association, investigate effects of psychological distance on such association and look into this association from longitudinal perspective.

  • Evaluation of long-term intervention effects of using smart sports bracelets in community-based type 2 diabetes patients

    Abstract: Background China accounts for 28% of the world's diabetic patients, but patient adherence to treatment is not high, which is related to the low level of specialization in lifestyle behavioral therapy. Training and education of dietitians and exercise prescribers have only started in China in recent years, and even fewer people have mastered the theory and implementation of behavioral interventions, and the number of practicing professionals is quite limited.Objective To construct a community intervention model for type 2 diabetes patients using smart sports bracelets and evaluate the long-term management effect. MethodsEach administrative district in Guangzhou selected one primary health care institution to recruit diabetes as study subjects. Intervention group and control group were matched by age and sex. Exercise was prescribed in accordance with the exercise guidelines for diabetes.The bracelet intervention group used sports bracelet for continuous follow-up management, while the control group used conventional management mode. Both groups were followed up one year later. Results After 1 year, compared to baseline, HbA1c compliance rate increased by 12.74% (P=0.02) in bracelet intervention group. Both self-management and diet management behavior scores were significantly increased in intervention group, and waist circumference was significantly reduced (all P<0.05). Fasting blood glucose, triglyceride and low density lipoprotein cholesterol in control group were improved (all P<0.05). After 1 year, the HbA1c compliance rate was significantly higher in the intervention group than in the control group (P=0.03).After adjusting for age, sex and family history of diabetes, duration of disease, triacylglycerol and apolipoprotein B were found to be influential factors for elevated HbA1c (all P < 0.05).After adjusting for age, sex and family history of diabetes, duration of disease, triacylglycerol and apolipoprotein B were found to be influential factors for elevated HbA1c(all P<0.05).ConclusionUsing a smart sports bracelet helps people with diabetes maintain self-management behaviors over time and keep their blood sugar at target.Dyslipidemia is an important factor affecting blood glucose control and should be paid attention to. On the basis of lifestyle modification, pharmacological interventions should be initiated as early as possible to regulate lipid metabolism disorders.

  • 术前血清白蛋白水平对非肌层浸润性膀胱癌患者行经尿道膀胱肿瘤电切术的预后价值

    Abstract: Objective To assess the value of preoperative serum albumin level in predicting the survival of patients with non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC) undergoing transurethral resection of bladder tumor (TURBT). Methods Two hundred and sixteen newly diagnosed patients with NMIBC who underwent TURBT between January, 2007 and April, 2012 were retrospectively analyzed. The patients were categorized into low albumin (<40 g/L) and normal albumin (≥40 g/L) groups. The patient survival was estimated using the Kaplan-Meier method, and univariate and multivariate Cox proportional analyses were used to determine the hazard ratios (HRs) for the overall survival (OS). Results Of the patients with available data, 82 (39%) and 127 (61%) patients were classified into low albumin (<40 g/L) and normal albumin (≥40 g/L) groups, respectively. Kaplan-Meier analysis showed a significantly worse 5-year OS in low albumin group than in normal albumin group (P=0.017). In the multivariate Cox regression analysis, after adjusting for confounding variables, the preoperative albumin level remained as an independent predictor for 5-year OS (HR: 3.102, 95%CI: 1.200-8.020, P=0.020). Conclusion A low preoperative albumin level predicts a poor 5-year OS in patients with NMIBC who underwent TURBT. Preoperative serum albumin can be a good prognostic factor for predicting survival of the patients with NMIBC treated with TURBT.

  • 海岸不同坡向滨麦光合特性与风速异质环境的关系

    Abstract:在自然条件下,测定分析了夏季和秋季静风天及秋季大风天,海岸沙丘不同坡向环境因子及滨麦株高、叶片叶绿素含量、土壤含水量和光合日变化特性,以期明晰滨麦响应不同风速环境的生理调控机理。结果表明,不同坡向环境异质性明显,滨麦形态可塑性强。海岸迎风坡风大、温度低、湿度大,滨麦植株低矮、叶绿素含量较高;背风坡温度高、土壤干旱、空气流动差,滨麦植株高大,叶绿素含量低。在夏秋季静风天,迎风坡和背风坡滨麦叶片Pn出现光合"午休"现象,但迎风坡滨麦日均Gs、Tr、Pn均显著高于背风坡;而在秋季大风天,迎风坡和背风坡滨麦叶片Pn"午休"现象消失,并且背风坡滨麦日均Pn、Tr、Gs均显著高于迎风坡滨麦。同坡向相比,秋季大风天迎风坡滨麦日均Pn、Tr、Gs明显较秋季静风天低,而背风坡滨麦日均叶片Pn、Tr、Gs却较静风天分别增高126%、66.3%、134%。强海风吹袭引发迎风坡温度降低、滨麦叶片摇摆、气孔导度降低导致Pn下降,而强海风使背风坡空气流动加快、温度降低、气孔导度增大、"午休"消失使Pn增高。不同坡向滨麦对不同海风风速的适应表现出明显的光合生理可塑性,它在滨麦适应不同风力、提高其光合速率和增加物质积累上具有重要作用。而滨麦的形态和光合生理可塑性可能是其在不同海风强度下生存、生长、实现种群扩张的重要生理调控机理,这一特性在未来作物、牧草和树木抗风、抗盐育种中具有重要应用价值。
