  • Construction Model of AI-Ready for Scientific and Technological Intelligence Data Resources

    Abstract: Purpose/Significance The new quality productivity advancing AI technology, especially exemplified by large language models (LLMs), is rapidly updating and attracting wide attention. In order to accelerate the implementation of AI technologies, it is urgent for advanced AI technologies to acquire support from knowledge resources in scientific and technological (S & T) information and libraries. Meanwhile, S & T information provides significant potential service scenarios for the application of AI technologies such as LLMs. This study aims to explore and design the method and path for constructing AI-ready data resources in the field of S & T information, and proposes a comprehensive and operable construction model that adapts to the new technical environment of AI, thereby facilitating comprehensive readiness in the field of intelligence. Method/Process This study first focuses on the concept and development status of AI-ready construction, and examines the development of AI-ready construction at home and abroad from three aspects: governments, enterprises and research institutions. The survey shows that the application of artificial intelligence has been highly valued by various fields of scientific research and production. However, the groundwork and preparation for AI applications are still relatively lagging behind, and AI tools cannot be fully implemented in key application scenarios due to the lack of high-quality and refined data resources. Based on the research results, the study made a preliminary definition of AI-ready construction, that is, we defined AI-ready construction as: the various development and improvement actions to adapt the object to the AI technical environment and promote the long-term benefits. The research then focuses on the field of S & T information, and systematically discusses and designs the AI-ready construction mode in the field of S & T information from six aspects: connotation category, construction angle, construction object, construction principle, control dimension and types of construction mode. Results/Conclusions The construction of AI-ready S & T information resources is a comprehensive and multi-angle transformation and upgrading process, which is located between the knowledge resource end and the intelligence application end. It is carried out in four aspects, including standards, methods, tools and platforms. The main content of the construction includes channels of AI technology, data transformation, data resources, and data management. At the same time, the construction is comprehensively controlled by six principles and four control dimensions. Besides, this study proposes the way of the practi cal construction of AI-ready S & T data resources, including the construction of intelligent data systems, and the construction of integrated platforms for the whole life cycle of S&T information data. The path reflects the process of the variation of knowledge resources from diversification to organization and then to integration, which not only serves the scientific information field itself, but also provides more intelligent, convenient, rich and powerful S&T information support for various fields. In the future, it is hoped that further research can delve into more micro and practical aspects, review the specific characteristics of different AI technologies, and provide more detailed suggestions for specific application scenarios at the operational level, providing a solid guarantee for scientific research institutions to achieve the leading strategic position in research and development.

  • Building and Implement on Automatic Identification Method of Research Design Fingerprint of Scientific Papers

    Abstract: [Purpose/significance] Automatic identification and extraction of research design fingerprint from scientific papers is able to provide researchers with significant methodology and research support for project design, validity evaluation of research methods, problem diagnosis of research process and identification and evaluation of research results.[Method/process]The paper, based on the concept model of research design fingerprint in scientific papers, proposes amulti-rule hybrid machine learning methods to design and implement the fingerprint identification algorithm model and analyze and verify the feasibility and validity of the methodby sample data in the field of datamining.[Result/conclusion] The results show that in addition to the research data and research trends, the recognition accuracy of other research design fingerprint is almost 80%. And the acceptance of coverage, in addition to research tools and research data, is almost 80%.

  • Research Process Multiple Evaluation System and Incentive Mechanism: A Key Laboratory of Chinese Academy of Sciences as an Example

    Abstract: Objective Reform of scientific research evaluation has made phased progress, but issues still exist, such as the lack of innovative evaluation methods and an incomplete evaluation system. Methods To address these issues, this study, based on existing scientific research evaluation and incentive systems, designs a diversified evaluation system for the research process using the ICDP method, and establishes a corresponding platform for diversified evaluation of the research process. Results Taking a key laboratory of the Chinese Academy of Sciences as a case, this paper elaborates on the index system architecture of the chemical engineering discipline and demonstrates the calculation process of overall evaluation and participant evaluation. Limitations The evaluation system described in this study takes into account the characteristics of the subject being assessed and adopts a combination of subjective and objective evaluations. It may be applicable to disciplines similar to this one. Other disciplines can refer to the principles of evaluation system design and design an evaluation system that suits the characteristics of their discipline. Conclusions A diversified evaluation and incentive system for the research process, characterized by information storage and recording at key nodes, can effectively solve prominent issues in the reform of scientific research, and is conducive to the sustainable development of the scientific research process ecosystem.
     

  • Research on the Construction of Data Management and Intelligence Analysis Platform for Subject Information

    Abstract: [Purpose/significance] In order to meet the subject information service needs of multi-disciplinary and multi-type users, we construct a data management and intelligent analysis platform. Creating an intelligent analysis flow and managing different types of subject data that reflect experts' wisdom, the platform aims to enrich the service model and improve the service speed.[Method/process] On the basis of investigating existing relevant research and practice, we proposed the design idea and construction framework of the platform, and analyzed the main functions and key technologies.[Result/conclusion] The platform has been completed. It integrates multiple sources and multiple types of data, opens up the service chain from data to analysis, embeds a variety of information analysis methods and deep learning algorithms, realizes multi-dimensional analysis services. It can manage analysis process data and history data from information analysts, and then realize data sharing and reuse.

  • Construction of Sci-Tech Big Data System oriented to Intelligent Knowledge Service

    Abstract: [Purpose/significance] The paper explores the construction of literature intelligence big data knowledge resource system, which supports multi-domain intelligent knowledge service.[Method/process] Based on the AI application requirements, drawing on the industry experience, combing the problems of existing resource system, the paper expanded the resource system from multi-level and multi-dimensional, built a reliable data processing process and computing platform to support efficient data collection and processing, and developed intelligent data governance tools to achieve effective governance of knowledge resources and ensure the provision of high-quality data resources.[Result/conclusion] It has initially formed a knowledge resource system covering multiple types and disciplines of sci-tech literature, constructed and completed a highly automated data collection and governance process, implemented multiple data quality control, and accumulated hundreds of millions of high-quality data. At present, it has provided data support for multiple knowledge services.

  • A Research Entity Recognition Algorithm Based on Dependency Parsing

    Abstract: [Purpose/significance] To explore the recognition and extraction of research entities and their relationships, improve their recognition effect in complex situations such as long sentences, and provide reference for further application. [Method/process] Based on the analysis of dependency syntactic features, a method for recognizing and extracting research entity relations was proposed, which includes:POS tagging of the target text using Standford Tagger tool; based on annotation results, the target text was divided into semantic segments of structure specification around the core predicate and SAO structure; through dependency parsing, we can find out the subject and object related to the core predicate and form a triple of entities, relationships and entities. [Result/conclusion] This method is compared with Ollie and Reverb mainstream algorithm. Experiments show that this method can effectively improve the accuracy of scientific entity recognition.

  • Design and Application of Ecological System of Intelligent Knowledge Service Based on AI——An Example of Building of Intelligent Service Platform of National Science Library, CAS

    Abstract: [Purpose/significance] Artificial Intelligence is triggering a chain reaction-like scientific breakthrough, leading a new round of scientific and technological revolution and industrial transformation, how to use AI to provide Intelligent Knowledge Services and Intelligent Information system is the current focus of attention and hot spot. [Method/process] This paper analyzed AI technology and big data from inside and outside the library and information domain to bring new platforms, new services and new opportunities and challenges to the knowledge service paradigm, and provided the idea of building the Intelligent Knowledge Service ecosystem driven by "AI technology and big data", and built the "science brain" method from the three levels of intelligent data, wisdom center and intelligence service, and provided an open intelligent knowledge service ecological environment covering science and technology management, scientific and technological innovation and social academic information environment. [Result/conclusion] As an exploration building of National Science Library Chinese Academy of Sciences, about Data Lake of Library and Information, Intelligent Knowledge Service engine, Intelligent Knowledge Discovery, Intelligent Knowledge Management, Intelligent Knowledge Analysis and Intelligent Sense Environment, and good results have been achieved. In the future, AI technology for big data government, fine-grained knowledge recognition, precision service and so on, still need to be further improved in data, technology and service models.

  • The Influence of ChatGPT on Scientific Research and Library & Information Service

    Abstract: ChatGPT is a dialogue system developed by OpenAI company. It appears as a Chatbot, but in essence, it uses Artificial Intelligence Generated Content (AIGC) technology to produce answers. Its key foundation is Generative Pre-trained Transformer and the core technology is InstructGPT. When compared to similar products in the early stages, its main characteristic is that there is a significant decrease in making up facts and generating toxic content. We present a systematic investigation of the technical structure, relevant research and practice, and applications scenarios of ChatGPT. Based on the investigation, we analyze the inspiration from the rapid development of AI technology as well as the influence of ChatGPT on Scientific Research and Library & Information Service. According to these influence, we present eight suggestions for the Library & Information Service field. Overall, the field should find its distinctive value orientation in the AI era, not only by maintaining the conventional scientific research paradigm, but also by exploring new technologies to boost scientific research.

  • Research on Intelligent Construction Method of the TRIZ Analysis Matrix

    Abstract:

    [Objective] Based on deep learning and domain knowledge graph technology, study the automatic construction method of TRIZ analysis matrix to provide knowledge support for technological innovation. [Methods] First, facing the domain requirements, the general "technical elements" are extended and refined into entity and relationship categories, and the pattern layer design of domain knowledge graph is completed;Then, based on the BERT pre-trained language model, research and design an intelligent tool to automatically identify knowledge entities and relationships from patent documents, and realize the automatic extraction of entity relationships;Finally, the graph database is used to complete the construction of the domain knowledge graph, and the knowledge entities and relationships are required to read based on the knowledge query, so as to realize the automatic construction of the TRIZ analysis matrix. [Results] After empirical verification, the F1 score of the BERT-MH+CRF entity recognition model for patents in the field of thin-film magnetic head technology constructed in this paper is 84.93%, and the F1 score of the BERT-MH+softmax relation extraction model is 63.7%. [Limitations] The lack of application of knowledge reasoning technology cannot reveal the potential knowledge associations between entities, and the quality of the constructed TRIZ analysis matrix is still insufficient. [Conclusions] The proposed method can achieve the goal of automatic construction of TRIZ analysis matrix, which can provide effective knowledge support for technological innovation.

    Abstract: To protect the priority right of the authors and to promote the excellent scientific research articles first preserved and serve for other researchers in our country, Scientific Article Preprint Platform of Chinese Academy Science (ChinaXiv) is proposed to build. It aims to encourage researchers to share their articles on public preprints platform in the first time,and receive peer reviews and suggestions for a wider range of academic communication. Based on the practice and strategic plan of ChinaXiv construction, this paper describes how to build a preprint platform following the international standard operation regulation, including construction background, system construction and service, domain development and cultivation, organization and management mechanism, propagandizing and popularizing mode, development status and future. This paper can provide references for other preprint repositories.

  • The Implementation of Router Service Engine iSwitch for Open Access Papers

    Abstract:Open Access academic paper has become important measures of the world's leading countries which promote knowledge sharing, collaborative open innovation, economic growth and inclusive development. Moreover, Open Sharing of academic papers founded by public funding projects has become the consensus of the world’s leading countries, and an important requirement is to deposit those papers in the open access IRs which are attribute to funder and authors’ institute. But the situation of institutional repository in China is serious, such as poorer deposit awareness, incomplete or incorrect submitted data and so on. It affects the development and perfection of China Open Access and open sharing mechanism. Though RJ-Broker can assist and promote to solve problems above, it is mainly related to European PMC data and located abroad. In order to better solve those problems, National Science Library of CAS, as a leader institute of this study in China, with hundreds of Research institutes of Chinese Academy of Sciences as demonstration, and reference to the OA-RJ model, constructed a pushing and routing services of Chinese academic papers, namely iSwitch, implementing automatic deposit. It can help institutes and funders to construct their IRs effectively and promote academic papers utilization by others openly. After iSwitch service is released publicly, it has routed more than 360,000 paper metadata pushed by Web of Science and some experimental Open Access paper data from other publishers to CAS IRs. Now it is a stable service to exchange WOS update data and other publisher data. Besides, with the help of iSwitch, Web of Science has linked full-text link of CAS IR papers since 27, July, 2015.

    Abstract:[目标]现将接收与解析成功的开放获取论文分发推送到作者机构和资助机构知识库。[方法] 析 iSwitch 系统技术框架,设计论文分发推送服务功能模块,利用任务调度代理与FTP 协议实现论文的分发推送。[结果] iSwitch 系统可以实现论文分发推送服务,并完成来自 Web of Science 的 34 332 条文章数据的分发推送。[局限] 目前仅仅基于一种数据源完成论文分发推送,对基于多个数据推送方的更大体量数据的分发推送服务中可能遇到的问题考虑不够。[结论] 实验表明,分发推送服务的工作流程机制是正确的,分发效率满足未来服务需求。

    Abstract: 【目的】设计并实现 STKOS术语发布与共享服务系统。【应用背景】作为一个超级词表, 科技知识组织体系(STKOS)需要提供给用户使用从而推进知识服务, 促进知识共享, 为此需通过一个共享服务平台对其进行发布。【方法】在对国际上相关项目和系统进行调研的基础上, 结合 STKOS的特点和应用需求, 设计系统的功能框架, 并对系统实现中的关键问题包括应用场景、数据交换格式、数据结构、可视化、多版本管理等进行分析, 完成系统的整体建设。【结果】在千万量级数据场景下, 实现 STKOS术语发布与共享服务系统平台。【结论】本系统支持 STKOS数据的管理、发布, 支持对知识体系内容的揭示, 为用户提供对知识组织体系的浏览、检索和个性化定制下载。

    Abstract:[目的] 为实现科技知识组织体系(STKOS)的共享和利用。[应用背景] 构建知识组织摘要:[目的] 为实现科技知识组织体系(STKOS)的共享和利用。[应用背景] 构建知识组织体系有机存储与访问的引擎系统是实现知识组织体系有效利用的前提条件。[方法] 建设支持STKOS 各类元素检索、浏览、关联、导航的语义存储与索引体系、语义查询与推理内核以及STKOS API,并对外提供开放查询与推理接口。[结果]该引擎系统支持 STKOS 发布服务平台建设以及 STKOS 在第三方检索服务系统的应用。[结论]通过 STKOS 开放引擎系统,我国科技文献信息机构和研究人员能够方便有效地利用 STKOS。
