Exploration and practice of accurate push service of paper and electronic document resources in university libraries -- A case study of Xidian University Library

Abstract: Abstract: [Objective/Significance] Aiming at the problems existing in the current literature resource push of Chinese university libraries, this paper puts forward a scheme of accurate paper and electronic literature resource push service, aiming at guiding university libraries to better develop the service of paper and electronic literature resource push, improve the service quality, and realize accurate push and personalized service. [Method/Process] Taking the library of Xidian University as an example, by combining the library automation integrated management platform, the school educational administration management system and the Feiyu Cloud service platform, the paper and electronic literature resources, students’ related educational administration data and user behavior records of the collection were collected, analyzed and comprehensively summarized to build an accurate resource portrait for users. Then provide precise push service, while users can give feedback on the recommended content, thus promoting the optimization of the system. [Result/Conclusion] The library platform of XIdian University has achieved remarkable implementation effect in the accurate push service of paper and electronic document resources through the optimization of system interworking, resource integration, personalized learning support, technology docking and resource display, etc. It is expected to better meet the information needs of users in the future. It provides the data basis and theoretical reference for the accurate push of university library resources.
