Abstract:
[Purpose/Significance] Analyzing the “multi-collaboration” implementation model of large-scale reading promotion project in the UK, provides reference for the social participation of reading promotion projects and the social development of reading promotion in China. [Method/Process] Taking typical reading promotion projects as examples, and applying the governance theories, this paper deeply analyzes and evaluates this model from the aspects of collaborative relationship, collaborative network, collaborative mechanism and its characteristics, advantages, etc. [Result/Conclusion] The government, social organizations, public libraries, enterprises, the public, etc., establish the cooperative relations in different roles, form the cooperative network including common support network and a collaborative implementation network, and form the cooperative mechanisms such as resource allocation, communication and negotiation, collaborative implementation, supervision and evaluation mechanisms. The multi-collaboration model has the characteristics and advantages of cross-border cooperation, partnership, dual core, professionalism, breadth and adaptability, but also has the potential problems of looseness and instability. The experience could be used for reference in five aspects in China.
