Abstract: The Lower Malian River Basin are typical loess plateau gully areas in eastern Gansu. They are of great significance for the sustainable development of regional ecosystems and for studying the temporal and spatial characteristics and response of water yield under the background of climate and land use change. Based on the InVEST (Integrated Valuation of Ecosystem Services and Trade-offs) model, the spatial and temporal patterns and change in water yield of the Lower Malian River Basin in 1990, 2000, 2010, and 2020 were quantitatively evaluated. The degree of influencing factors on the spatial differentiation of water yield function was analyzed using geographic detection. The results show that: (1) From 1990 to 2020, the total water yield of the Lower Malian River Basin first decreased, then increased, and then decreased again. Compared with 1990, the total water production in 2020 was reduced by 5.9 × 107 m3, which was a reduction of 25.43%. The water yield in different periods was higher in the southern and marginal areas and lower in the northern and central areas. (2) The water yield capacity of each land use type followed the order: construction land > bare land > agricultural land > low-coverage grassland > high-coverage grassland > shrub land > forest land > open water. (3) There was a significant positive correlation between water yield and precipitation, and a negative correlation between actual evapotranspiration and altitude. Precipitation and actual evapotranspiration were the main factors determining the spatial distribution and change in water yield, with q values of 0.616–0.735 and 0.517–0.653, respectively. The research results provide scientific evidence to support the development, utilization, and management of soil and water resources in the gully areas of the Loess Plateau in eastern Gansu.

  • Analysis and enlightenment on China’s use of major research infrastructure of U.S. Department of Energy

Subjects: Statistics >> Social Statistics submitted time 2024-05-18 Cooperative journals: 《中国科学院院刊》

Abstract: Major research infrastructures (referred to as “major infrastructures”) are the key to innovation in the era of big science, and is an important symbol of a country’s scientific and technological innovation capability and comprehensive national power. In order to seize the commanding point of scientific and technological innovation, the major developed countries have been actively developing and optimizing the layout of major infrastructures, while vigorously promoting the opening and sharing of major infrastructures to achieve the efficient allocation and utilization of scientific and technological resources, transforming their advantages in scientific and technological infrastructures into advantages in innovation and development. The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) currently manages 28 major infrastructures that are open to global research users. This study analyzes the current open sharing situation of major infrastructures of the U. S. Department of Energy (DOE), and analyzes in-depth the demand, effectiveness, and difficulties of China’s use of major infrastructures of DOE from 2015 to 2022, to provide reference for the open sharing and layout construction of major infrastructure in China.

  • Research on Relationship Between Scholars’ Scientific Research Cooperation and Interdisciplinarity Based on Social Network——Taking Scholars in Astrophysics as an Example

Subjects: Library Science,Information Science >> Library Science submitted time 2023-10-08 Cooperative journals: 《知识管理论坛》

Abstract: [Purpose/Significance] The study explored the relationship between scholars’ scientific research cooperation and interdisciplinarity, in order to provide suggestions for scholars engaged in interdisciplinary research to improve their own cooperation modes, and evidence for optimizing cooperation strategies in the process of cultivating interdisciplinary talents. [Method/Process] Scholars are selected according to Price core author distribution theory. Based on Web of Science data, the study constructed the cooccurrence network of authors, used node degree centrality to measure the scale of cooperation, node clustering coefficient to measure the group cooperation rate, and proportion of international cooperation papers to measure the international cooperation rate; measured interdisciplinarity of scholars based on Rao-stirling. From the individual level, analyzed the relationship between scientific research cooperation and interdisciplinarity. [Result/ Conclusion] Taking scholars in astrophysics as an example, the study found that the cooperation scale, group and international cooperation rate of scholars are significantly positively correlated with their interdisciplinarity. They are the factors that affect scholars’ interdisciplinarity. And then infer that expansion of cooperation scale, participating in teamwork and international cooperation will all help them absorb more interdisciplinary knowledge, improve knowledge structure, and produce high-quality researches.

Subjects: Library Science,Information Science >> Information Science submitted time 2023-04-01 Cooperative journals: 《图书情报工作》

Abstract: [Purpose/significance] Grey prediction method can effectively deal with small sample data widely existing in information research. This paper analyzed the application of grey prediction in information research and summarized the shortcomings in the application process, laying the foundation for further application of grey prediction method in information research.[Method/process] By reviewing the literatures related to grey prediction method in information research, this paper gave an overview of data selection, model construction and solved problems of grey predicting method in information research, summarized the problems existing in the application of grey prediction method in current information research, and put forward suggestions for improvement.[Result/conclusion] In the application of the method, the research mainly adopts the sequence grey prediction, and the model focuses on the univariate grey prediction model. According to different prediction objects, grey prediction method has been well applied in journal analysis, library operation management, hot topic analysis and evaluation of scientific research institutions. In the future, different grey prediction methods can be tried according to the characteristics of the prediction object and the research objectives, and the application of grey prediction method can be expanded to other information research issues.
