Abstract: For the first time, this study draws an Innovation Science Structure Map using the scientific structure mapping analysis method. It takes Essential Science Indicators (ESI) highly cited papers referenced in patents as the foundatial analyzing data, revealing the impact of leading-edge fundamental research on the development of technological innovation worldwide. It identifies the hotspot areas that are driving the advancement of technological innovation and compares the performance between China and the United States in these areas, providing robust data support for informed scientific decision-making. The analysis reveals that papers with a high number of patent references are primarily concentrated in emerging biotechnology and biomedical fields, as well as in new information technology, energy, and materials sectors that are likely to trigger disruptive technological innovations. There is a noticeable growth trend in China for papers with high citation counts referenced in patents, with a five-year cumulative growth exceeding 60%, but the total number is still less than half of that in the United States. The number of papers from China in many research hotspots closely associated with technological innovation is higher than that of the United States. Still, the count of papers referenced in patents is usually lower. The United States tends to fundamental research that influences technological innovation, leading more towards industrial transformation-related R&D activities, and involves a large number of enterprises.

Abstract: [Purpose/significance] As an exploratory research, this paper is oriented to the needs of scientific and technological information in the specialized discipline domain, and aims to realize the quantitative analysis of key semantics of the full text and the practical application shift from "information automation" to "knowledge automation". On the basis of previous studies from the perspective of knowledge element co-occurrence to explore the evolution mechanism of ESI research fronts, this paper further proposes a research front knowledge evolution analysis method based on knowledge element variation. [Method/process] Firstly, knowledge elements were represented as word vectors by word2vec word embedding model. Then, this paper calculated Euclidean distance of knowledge element vectors, and identified knowledge element clusters with similar semantic and pragmatic association by K-means clustering method. Finally, TF-IDF values of each knowledge element in the diachronic cluster were calculated. Through the quantitatively measurement of sudden changes in the importance of knowledge elements, the characteristics and rules of knowledge element variation were mined in the process of ESI research fronts evolution. [Result/conclusion] Through the comparative test of the detection results, it is found that the scientometric method based on knowledge element variation is not only a supplement and expansion of the previous research methods, but also makes the mining of the internal knowledge movement law of ESI research fronts more specific and detailed. Moreover, in the scope of time series, it is a strong evidence that the future development trend and key information signals of the ESI research fronts can be detected as soon as possible.

Abstract: 2022 Technology Focus report developed by the Institutes of Science and Development, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CASISD), is based on the role of “Technology Focus” in the fields of information, energy, life and material manufacturing in the new technological revolution. We select and determine “20 High-impact Patented Technology Focus” from the 32 “Technology Focus” areas that are highlighted in the report. It briefly describes the basic meaning, technological innovation challenges, and the research path. Based on the distribution of comprehensive influence scores of patent data in “Technology Focus”, it reveals the technical innovation points and the characteristics of the national institutions of the patents with higher scores. Finally, three conclusions are given: (1) the technology focus characterizes the “difficulties” and “pain points” of industrial technological innovation in many fields around the world; (2) developed countries in science and technology occupy the commanding heights of most “Technology Focus”; and (3) the patent patent ownership institutions in the “Technology Focus” are leaders in industrial technological innovation.

Abstract: In 2022, Institutes of Science and Development, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CASISD), the National Science Library, CAS, and Clarivate Analytics released their joint report Research Fronts 2022. The report utilized the Essential Science Indicators (ESI) database to do co-citation analysis. The 2022 report started from 12 610 research fronts in ESI and identified a total of 165 research fronts, including hot and emerging specialties spanning 11 broad research areas in sciences and social sciences. With the 165 research fronts and the related core papers and citing papers as the basis for analysis, this study summarized 8 development trends in science and technology, and recent trends and key research questions in 11 broad research areas, aiming to provide reference for studying and forecasting the major development trends in science and technology, summarizing important research issues and then making systematic deployment.

Abstract: In the Fourteenth Five-Year Plan of China’s central and local governments, it is clearly proposed to develop the future industries. In order to provide decision-making reference for the future industries development plan of China, this study has analyzed the future industries development plans of major countries in the world. By collecting 22 future industries development plans of 7 countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Japan, South Korea, and Russia, this paper summarizes the concept, characteristics, significance, and evolution trends of global future industries development. The deployment of the future industries of these seven countries are analyzed in detail, and the experience is summarized at the same time. Three enlightenments are put forward for China: the future industries development should be upgraded to a national strategy and future industries development plan and roadmap should be planed comprehensively, the future industries should be systematically studied by think tank, such as Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the R&D of the key technologies of the future industries should be strengthened.

Abstract: In the next 10 to 15 years, scientific and technological progress will change the industrial structure and global economic growth, and will profoundly change people’s needs for food, clothing, housing, transportation and their forms of the needs to meet. Based on the foresight analysis data of economic, social, and technological development from major countries and international organizations or big enterprises, with the method of information and knowledge element analysis, this study describes human#2;based vision from the following five aspects, life, work, health, information, and safety. For each aspect, we put forward some social development trends, visions, specific scenarios, and key future technology groups. All of these provide references for drawing up China's future development vision and technological innovation demands.

Abstract:【目的】利用文本语义组块特征提升 Cosine 文本相似度计算性能。【方法】获取 NSF 资助的关于碳纳米 管研究领域的项目数据, 进行词干还原、词性标注等预处理; 利用条件随机场模型实现文本内容的语义组块标 注; 在此基础上实现基于语义组块特征的改进 Cosine 文本相似度计算, 并与未标注的数据进行相似度计算比较, 分析实验结果。【结果】实验证明基于语义组块特征的改进 Cosine 相似度计算结果比原始文本 Cosine 相似度 计算结果相似度均有不同程度的提升, 在实验数据中最高的相似度提升了 26%。【局限】依赖于语义组块标注 性能。【结论】本文方法能有效提升文本间语义相似度, 降低向量空间模型维度, 提高计算效率, 并且具有良好 的泛化能力和鲁棒性。
