Abstract: At present, Revit has great problems in the modeling of grid structure. The conventional manual modeling approach is almost impossible to complete. With the conceptual mass, all the grid ball and bar types are the same, don't meet the actual engineering. In order to solve this problem, this paper studies the modeling method of grid structure with Revit Extensions and Dynamo software respectively, and the application of visual programming tool Dynamo in Revit automatic modeling is mainly introduced. For designers, Dynamo parameterization tool is relatively easy to master. The Dynamo program developed in this paper can automatically generate an accurate grid structure model by reading data of grid structure. The size and location of the grid ball and bar are consistent with the actual situation, and the efficiency of modeling and the quality of the model are improved.
