Abstract: [Purpose/significance] With the introduction of the overall plan and implementation method of "double first-class" construction, universities have successively issued construction plans. As the main institution supporting the activity of study, teaching and research in university, the university library plays an important strategic guarantee role in the "double first-class" construction of colleges.[Method/process] Using the literature analysis, network survey method and scientific measurement software, this paper analyzed the research and practice status of "double first-class" construction of Chinese university libraries, based on the strategic requirements for libraries in the construction plans of 42 first-class universities in China, and the mission planning of the top ten world-class university libraries in USNEWS explained the supporting role of university libraries in the construction of "double first-class", interpreted the overall goal of "double first-class" construction of Chinese university libraries, rethinked the functions and positioning of libraries, and clarified the construction goals and tasks of university libraries under the new background.[Result/conclusion] Libraries need to keep up-to-date and innovate on the basis of inheriting traditions, relying on the information resource guarantee center, discipline knowledge support center, cultural heritage exchange center, and interactive sharing learning center to build an all-media that reflects the core competitiveness of the library information resource security sharing system, a new service system that supports teaching and scientific research throughout the process, a comprehensive cultural cooperation system that builds libraries and external relations, and an intelligent and innovative system of personal research and collaborative learning that integrates, to realize the service function of university libraries, and demonstrate service value.

  • Integrating Word Semantic Representation and New Word Identification for Domain Ontology Evolution: A Case Study of Product Online Reviews

Subjects: Library Science,Information Science >> Information Science submitted time 2023-04-01 Cooperative journals: 《图书情报工作》

Abstract: [Purpose/significance] Due to the inaccuracy and low efficiency in capturing new knowledge and new requirements in traditional ontology evolution, based on domain new word identification, an ontology evolution method is proposed and evaluated by analyzing a large volume of product online reviews.[Method/process] First, a series of natural language processing algorithms were used to pre-process product review text corpus, and the Word2vec algorithm was adopted for word vector embedding. Then, a Bi-LSTM-Attention-CRF algorithm was utilized for the recognition and extraction of new words in a candidate set, and the K-means algorithm was applied for clustering to get the final domain new words. Finally, the Six-Stage evolution process of ontology evolution was invited for analyzing domain ontology evolution.[Result/conclusion] By analyzing smart phone reviews as examples, it can be found that the proposed approach about new word identification presents a higher accuracy and recall rate and a new version of the product ontology in the smart phone domain can be evolved accordingly. It helps designers to optimize feature and function configuration in new product development and consumers to analyze online opinions for purchase decisions.
