Analysis of the Research Progress of Domestic Information Science in the Period of “13th Five-Year Plan” Based on CNKI

Abstract： Reviewing the research situation of information science during the “13th Five-Year Plan” period is conducive to grasping the advantages and disadvantages of recent information science research and providing reference for the innovation and development of the information science discipline during the “14th Five-Year Plan” period. With software tools such as Gephi, Scientometrics Tools3. 0, COOC, etc. , we carried out quantitative and visual analysis of 8 917 papers,which were published during the “13th Five-Year Plan” period. These papers are from 9 CSSCI source journals of information science which are included in CNKI to confirm the corresponding core research institutions, core researchers, core research content and high-level papers. We defined the leading institutions and leading figures in information science research during the “13th Five-Year Plan” period through high-level indicators such as the number of published papers, H5 index, P index, and I10 index, then we analyzed the similarities and differences in research content between leading institutions. By building a cooperative network, we also defined high-influential research institutions and researchers; through high-frequency keywords and their clustering, the key areas of information science research during the “13th Five-Year Plan” period are clarified, and the evolution of key fields was analyzed based on the theme strategic coordinate map; through the citation frequency, 9 high-level papers in the research results of information science during the “13th Five-Year Plan” period are obtained.
