摘要: Many new physics models predict sizable modifications to the SM Zbb couplings, while the corresponding measurements at LEP and SLC exhibit some discrepancy with the SM predictions. After updating the current results on the Zbb coupling constraints from global fits, we list the observables that are most important for improving the Zbb coupling constraints and estimate the expected precision reach of three proposed future e+e- colliders, CEPC, ILC and FCC-ee. We consider both the case that the results are SM-like and the one that the Zbb couplings deviate significantly from the SM predictions. We show that, if we assume the value of the Zbb couplings to be within 68% CL of the current measurements, any one of the three colliders will be able to rule out the SM with more than 99.9999% CL (5 sigma). We study the implications of the improved Zbb coupling constraints on new physics models, and point out their complementarity with the constraints from the direct search of new physics particles at the LHC, as well as with Higgs precision measurements. Our results provide a further motivation for the construction of future e+e- colliders.

摘要: For magnetic reconnection to proceed, the frozen-in condition for both ion fluid and electron fluid in a localized diffusion region must be violated by inertial effects, thermal pressure effects, or inter-species collisions. It has been unclear which underlying effects unfreeze ion fluid in the diffusion region. By analyzing in situ THEMIS (Time History of Events and Macroscale Interactions during Substorms) spacecraft measurements at the dayside magnetopause, we present clear evidence that the off-diagonal components of the ion pressure tensor is mainly responsible for breaking the ion frozen-in condition in reconnection. The off-diagonal pressure tensor, which corresponds to a non-gyrotropic pressure effect in this event, is a fluid manifestation of ion demagnetization in the diffusion region. From the perspective of the ion momentum equation, the reported non-gyrotropic ion pressure tensor is a fundamental aspect in specifying the reconnection electric field that controls how quickly reconnection proceeds.

摘要: Finding pulsars in binaries is important for measurements of the masses of neutron stars (NSs), for tests of gravity theories, and for studies of star evolution. We are carrying out the Galactic Plane Pulsar Snapshot survey (GPPS) by using the Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical radio Telescope (FAST). Here we present the Keplerian parameters for 116 newly discovered pulsars in the FAST GPPS survey and obtain timing solutions for 29 pulsars. Companions of these pulsars are He white dwarfs (WDs), CO/ONe WDs, NSs, main sequence stars and ultra light objects or even planets. Our observations uncover eclipses of eight binary systems. The optical counterpart for the companion of PSR J1908+1036 is identified. The Post-Keplerian parameter �˙for the double NS systems PSR J0528+3529 and J1844-0128 have been measured, with which the total masses of the binary systems are determined.

摘要: Thermally stable poly(triphenylamine) (PTPA) synthesized by an oxidative coupling reaction is used as the functional layer in memory devices, which exhibit non-volatile bistable resistive switching behavior with a large ON/OFF ratio over 5 108, a long retention time exceeding 8 103 s and a wide working temperature range of 30–390 K.
