摘要: This work determined a new M-C code (FLUKA) that can be used to calculate the dosimetric characteristics of seed sources. Dosimetric parameters (dose rate constant, radial dose function, and anisotropy function) of model 6711 125I seed source were calculated with FLUKA. The results were compared to the relative data recommended by AAPM TG43U1: dose rate constant with FLUKA was in agreement with 2.041%; radial dose functions with FLUKA for distances ranging from 0.5 cm to 10 cm, the deviation was less than 5%. Therefore the FLUKA code can be used to calculate the dosimetric characteristics of seed sources.

摘要: Benefitting from the excellent characteristics such as low cytotoxicity, functionalization versatility, and tunable fluorescence, nanodiamonds (NDs) have shown enormous application potentials in the biomedical field. Herein, we proposed, for the first time to our best knowledge, to integrate NDs on a plasmonic interface constructed on a side-polished fiber using drop-casting method. The added NDs engineers the plasmonic interface towards improving the sensing field, thus enhancing the sensitivity, which, moreover, is significantly dependent on the number of drop-casting cycles (DCs) and the used concentration of NDs dispersion solution. Experimental results suggest that properly increasing the NDs dispersion concentration is beneficial to obtain a higher sensitivity while using a fewer number of DCs, but the excessive concentration extremely deteriorates the resonance dip. Experimentally, using the optimal 0.2 mg/mL concentration and 3 DCs, we achieve the highest RI sensitivity of 3582 nm/RIU, which shows an enhancement of 73.8% compared to the case without NDs modification. The sensitivity enhancement in biosensing is also proved by employing bovine serum albumin as a demo. The behind mechanism is explored via characterizations and simulations. This work opens up a new application form for NDs, i.e. integrating NDs with a plasmonic interface towards high-performance biosensing.

摘要: The first clutch of Stalicoolithus shifengensis is described here. This incomplete dinosaur egg clutch in which three nearly complete eggs and two egg prints were preserved was discovered in the red deposits of the Sanshui Formation at a construction site near the sluice of North Village, Dali Town, Nanhai District, Foshan City, Guangdong Province, China. The eggs in the clutch are stacked with various ranges. Based on the characteristics of the eggshell, these eggs can be assigned to S. shifengensis. The discovery of S. shifengensis in the Sanshui Formation complements the clutch information about the oospecies as well as expands its paleogeographic distribution, and sets the foundation for discussing the diversity of dinosaur eggs in the Sanshui Basin.

摘要: An electrostatic accelerating column was designed and fabricated by Lanzhou University for an intense D-T/D-D neutron generator. In order to achieve a neutron yield of 5.0�1012 n/s, a deuteron beam of 30 mA, accelerated to 400 kV, and transported in the electrostatic accelerating column smoothly are required. One particle-in-cell code BEAMPATH was used to simulate the beam transport, and the IONB1.0 code was used to simulate the intense beam envelopes. Emittance growths due to space charge effect and spherical aberration were analyzed. The simulation results show that the accelerating column can transport deuteron beam of 30 mA smoothly and the requirement for the neutron generator is satisfied.

摘要: Porous membranes were prepared using the phase inversion method from poly(vinylidene fluoride)-graft-poly(N-vinyl pyrrolidone) (PVDF-g-PVP) powders, which were synthesized via -ray induced graft polymerization (pre-irradiation). Chemical compositions, thermal behavior, morphology and hydrophilicity of the membranes were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, element analysis, thermalgravimetric analysis, differential scanning calorimetry, scanning electron microscopy and contact angle measurements, respectively. Permeation experiments were conducted to evaluate the water flux, and the dynamic BSA fouling resistance performances were investigated, too. All the experimental results indicate that the PVDF-g-PVP membranes demonstrate better separation performances over the pristine PVDF membrane.
