Data Enabling and Smart Reconstruction: The Application and Future Prospect of Big Data Technology in Public Librari

Abstract: In the current phase where the wave of digital economy development and the implementation of the strategy of a strong cultural nation are intertwined, the field of public libraries is undergoing a paradigmatic shift from traditional "centers of literature resources" to modern "hubs of knowledge services." The key driving force behind this transformation, big data technology, rightfully takes center stage as its core engine. The case study method and normative research method are synthesized in this paper, which systematically analyzes the practical application of public libraries in optimizing management decisions, integrating resource innovation, and restructuring service models; the value-enabling mechanism is also deeply revealed in the three dimensions of management efficiency improvement, service quality upgrading, and resource construction transformation.
The construction of a standardized data framework needs to be addressed, the application value of privacy computing technology should not be overlooked, and the cultivation of composite talents urgently needs to be strengthened—these are the solutions proposed for the current dilemmas of insufficient data governance system construction and bottlenecks in technology application capabilities. The intelligent service scene construction has broad prospects, the deepening level of precise decision support contains great potential, the field of integrated ecological co-construction shows multiple possibilities, and the direction of inclusive service upgrading is full of development opportunities—the future development trend under the dimension of technology integration is thus anticipated.
The research conclusion shows that: Big data technology, as a strategic element rather than limited to an efficiency tool, has a significant role in reshaping the value positioning of libraries. The new public cultural service ecosystem with data intelligence as its core feature needs to be realized through systematic changes such as the improvement of the data governance system, the optimization of organizational capability structure, and the innovation of service models.
