Abstract:
This paper combined the SCMA and Polar Codes and proposed a joint SCMA detection and Polar decoding (JDD) scheme for the system. The independent SCMA detection and Polar decoding (IDD) scheme is unable to take full advantage of decoding information which lead to a poor system performance. Aimed at this problem, the proposed JDD scheme can achieve a significant performance gain which iteratively exchanges the soft information between the detector and the decoder by using intrinsic information to update the initial priori probabilities in SCMA detector. Simulation results show that, the performance of the system with JDD scheme has been significantly improved which obtain about 2dB performance gain compared with the IDD scheme.
