R-parity violating supersymmetry effects and signals in single top production at the Tevatron

Datta,A; Yang,JM; Young,B; Zhang,XSubjects:

We discuss single top quark production via u^i+\bar d^j \to t+\bar b at the Fermilab Tevatron in the minimal supersymmetric model with R-parity violation. We find that within the allowed range of coupling constants, the lepton-number violating couplings c |

Single top quark production as a probe of R-parity violating SUSY at p p and p anti-p colliders

Oakes,RJ; Whisnant,K; Yang,JM; Young,B; Zhang,XSubjects:

We investigate the ability of single top quark production via qq'-> squark->tb and q \bar q'->slepton->t\bar b at the LHC and Tevatron to probe the strength of R-parity violating couplings in the minimal supersymmetric model. We found that given the exist |

Effective CP violating operators of the tau lepton and some of their phenomenologies

Huang,T; Yang,J; Young,B; Zhang,XSubjects:

The dimension-six CP-violating SU_L(2)\times U_Y(1) invariant operators involving the tau lepton are studied. The constraints from the available experimental data on tau dipole moments are derived. Under the current constraints, the induced CP-violating e |

Probing anomalous top quark couplings at e gamma colliders

Cao,J; Wang,J; Yang,JM; Young,B; Zhang,XSubjects:

We study in the effective Lagrangian approach the possibility of probing anomalous top quark charged current couplings in the single top production at a high energy e\gamma collider. We analyzed all possible dimension-six CP-conserving operators which can |

Searching for a stop pair sample from top counting experiments at hadron colliders

Yang,JM; Young,BSubjects:

The light stop if produced in hadron colliders in the form of t ? t ? ? pair and decaying through the likely decay chain t ? →χ ?+bfollowedbyχ ?+ →χ ?0ff ?′,can mimic closely a 1 top quark event when the mass of the stop is close to that of the top quark. Because of the much lower production rate, the stop event can be buried under the top quark event sample. In order to uncover the stop event, specific selection cuts need to be applied. Through Monte Carlo simulation with suitable kinematic cuts, we found that such stop event can be extracted from the top quark sample and detected by the top counting experiments in the upcoming upgraded Tevatron and LHC. However, because of the small statistics of the Run 1 of the Tevatron, the stop signal remains hidden at Run 1. |
